We had a wonderful stay, perfect location in the heart of town. Easy parking, friendly receptionist, modern and spacious room, beautifully renovated hallways.
Couldn't fault.

The location, the building itself, the bed.
The whole town was expensive for what it is - a quaint town in the middle of Umbria. My colleague had to cancel on medical grounds over 36 hours before the stay, he phoned to cancel and was charged anyway. The square is not in my GPS

The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the city, making it easy for us to explore the beautiful surroundings. the rooms were well-maintained and had a charming, old-world feel to them, with modern amenities that added to our comfort. We especially loved the unique artwork displayed throughout the hotel, which gave it a distinct character. the staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring that our romantic escape was a memorable one.
The breakfast room was a bit uninspiring in terms of ambiance, but the breakfast itself was decent, offering a good selection of food. we did feel that the dinner options could have been better, as the quality of the food was not up to par with our expectations.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent location in the centre of town. Comfortable room with good facilities.
Despite the efforts of the staff, as a large hotel it felt rather impersonal.

Hotel Tiferno is always a pleasure, such a beautiful historic building in the heart of Umbria but with all modern conveniences and beautiful restoration. Citta di Castello offers so many beautiful things, and the hotel is one of its jewels, now also with a good restaurant. In a beautifuk piazza in the center of town (1 minute on foot from the main piazza and market and even less to Pizzeria Roma, for the best steaks in town at excellent prices), it was the first place I ever saw in Citta di Castello 10 years ago and I was pleased to see it is as superb as ever on my recent trip. I recommend it to everyone I know who plans to go to central Italy. This ex-convent retains its Renaissance charm but is far from fussy and old-fashioned. I love its sleek furnishings and paintings by famous local son Alberto Burri, the internationally-acclaimed 20th C artist whose work is also presented in two museums in the town. Parking, a good breakfast, and a highly profresisonal, helpful and friendly staff. No one could ask for more.

Great location and easy access to key attractions. Lovely Christmas decorations and festive atmosphere throughout the hotel. the breakfast selection was good, especially the pastries and coffee.
The staff was not very friendly or welcoming, which made us feel unwelcome. the room was not properly cleaned and there were cobwebs in the corner.

This is an excellent hotel in lovely Citta di Castello. As the front of the building faces the street, it is probably best to request an internal room. The hotel has limited parking in front, but parking might be a problem if the hotel is full. We found the hotel very comfortable, clean and professionally run. The rooms are well equipped and well appointed. There were no problems at all.

The building had a classy vibe, but the rooms were completely modernized with cool features like USB charger plugs. The reception area had a cozy fireplace where I could relax with a drink. The location was perfect, with easy parking right in front of the hotel. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully renovated. it was a mind-blowing experience in the heart of the city!

The hotel had a beautiful lobby area and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning, which had a good variety of options. The hotel location was great, only a short walk away from lots of restaurants and shops.
This hotel was not our best romantic escape. We could hear everything going on in the hallway and neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to relax.

We stayed in a hotel in a charming and historic town. the hotel was located in the heart of the old town, which made it easy to explore everywhere. the staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast that had plenty of variety. the hotel also had a restaurant that we highly recommend.
The air conditioning was not working properly, which made it a bit uncomfortable at night.
